The Gunzenhausen Public Library and School Library offers more than 55000 books, magazines, digital media and more.
Whatever you are looking for, whether it's novels, non-fiction, children's books, books for young adults, audiobooks, music CDs, DVDs, magazines or newspapers, you will find it in our library. Take your time to explore the library's various sections and offerings.
If you have any questions, we will be glad to help. If you're interested in learning German, you'll find the right materials in our language section. There is also a selection of novels available in both English and French.

Library Information
Registration
For registration please bring your personal identity card or passport or your certificate of registration. Children and young people under the age of 16 need their parents' permission to register.
Please inform us immediately if your library card is lost or has been stolen. You should also inform us of your new address immediately if you move.
Fees and fines
The library service is free for everyone. We will charge a fee if you do not return your media on time (€1 per week per item). In addition, fees will be charged for issuing a substitute library card, for reservations and interlibrary loans, as well as for items not returned to the library.
Loan periods
Books and language courses can be borrowed for four weeks; magazines, audiobooks, computer games, music CDs and DVDs can only be borrowed for two weeks.
You can renew your books twice, either in person, by phone, or directly via WebOPAC. It is not possible to renew items that have been reserved by another user.

Information and advice
Should you need help with your search for media or require any information, please ask at the information desk.
Internet service
You'll find computers providing internet access and word processing in the reading room and the Young Library. You can use the internet for two hours per day. Please write your library number or name on the schedule next to the computer you are using. You can also use our free Wi-Fi with your notebook or smartphone.
Inter-library loan
Literature, mainly required for academic purposes, which is not found in our library, can be obtained via inter-library loan. If you are interested, you will get further information at the information desk.
